SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING INJURY PREVENTION

Allan Mishra, MD

Introduction

Skiing and snowboarding are dangerous sports.  On average there are three injuries per 1000 skiers or snowboarders per day.  The spectrum of injury is from minor sprains to paralysis and even death.  The goal of this EMEDx seminar is to raise the awareness of common injuries and to provide you with prevention tips for these injuries.  We will also outline a specific preseason conditioning program.
